Founder and Principal Trainer

nick-constableNick has delivered hundreds of training workshops for a wide range of consulting, technology, software, and business services companies in the last ten years and is retained frequently to assist with coaching, sales process development and interim sales management. He has over 26 years of front-line business experience, having begun his career in 1986 with NCR, a company renowned for its excellent training culture.

Since then, Nick has held senior sales and marketing positions for start-ups, medium-sized companies and major global organisations, mostly in the IT sector. Nick has developed and closed sales pipelines from scratch for start-ups, has recruited, trained and led large sales teams, managed global clients for Fortune 100 companies, and driven growth in the demanding environment of quarterly business cycles for publically listed companies.

Nick was previously EMEA Sales & Services Director at MapInfo Corp, a $250M global business intelligence software company, where he also managed a large Professional Services Group. Prior to MapInfo, Nick was Sales Director at Eqos Systems, a leading UK software-as-service company specialising in supplier management solutions for the retail and e-commerce sectors. Nick previously held senior management positions at QAS, now part of Experian, where he was Marketing Director; Sun Microsystems, where he directed the UK software business unit; and Lotus Development, a subsidiary of IBM, where he was Corporate Sales Manager.

In addition to these permanent roles, Nick has recently undertaken interim assignments for Autodesk Inc., the world’s 5th largest software company, as Sales Director for two Northern European business divisions.

Nick Constable is the author of Selling Secrets, part of the Collins Business Secrets series of books, published by HarperCollins.

Nick has a B.A. Honours degree in Modern Languages from the University of Exeter.
