Steve Broughton is an industry sales veteran with 30 years of a highly successful sales management career in the Information Technology market behind him. After completing 117 consecutive quarter ends with a revenue target, Steve is passing on his experience to others, as a Redline sales trainer and sales coach.
During the 8 years Steve spent at Business Objects, he played a major role in the success of the UK operation. He joined as Sales Channel Director in 1997 and rose to Vice President & Managing Director UK Operations, a position he held for six years until 2005. In this role at Business Objects Steve managed the UK subsidiary of Europe’s 4th largest software company, and was responsible for growing revenues by from $30 million to $120 million, resulting in him being awarded Business Objects country manager of the year in 2000 and 2003.
After leaving Business Objects Steve joined MapInfo as the Vice President of Sales for the Europe Middle East and Africa region with six European subsidiaries and $64M revenue. It was while at MapInfo that Steve was heralded on the cover of the popular “SalesForce” magazine. Steve was then recruited to set up and run the UK subsidiary of BDNA, a US software company providing enterprise level asset discovery software tools.
